LIVING BY ‘THE LAW OF FAITH’ IN THE GRACE!
LIVING BY ‘THE LAW OF FAITH’ IN THE GRACE!
The Month of AUGUST ushers us into the realm of LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH IN THE GRACE – which is about synergising and energising our realm of doing life and living godly through THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus’ stead, thereby experiencing our God-given BLESSEDNESS.
“Where is BOASTING then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by THE LAW OF FAITH. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW. 29 Is he the God of THE JEWS ONLY? is he not also of THE GENTILES? Yes, of THE GENTILES also: 30 seeing it is one God, which shall JUSTIFY THE CIRCUMCISION BY FAITH, and UNCIRCUMCISION THROUGH FAITH” Romans 3:27-30.
“There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For THE LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” Romans 8:1-2.
The law of faith is about the PRINCIPLES – the guiding laws – upon which the subject of Faith operates: with, through, in, upon and on – in order to ensure and assure its fundamental and foundational basis of our belief and trust in God in Christ Jesus’ stead. The knowing and understanding of these principles helps one to do life and live godly in the grace of God through all forms of persecution, in receiving God’s promises, and helps one through the process of enduring and persevering in the faith, doing righteousness, stopping satan and his cohorts, and such like. [Hebrews 11:32-40].
The essence of knowing and understanding the act of LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace is to ensure and assure the Believer in God in Christ Jesus’ stead, and to show how one can, by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace, be energised in their spirit-being instead of relying on mental exertion, which is not of faith toward Father God and our Saviour and Lord, Christ Jesus.
The essence of LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace of God in Christ Jesus consists in BELIEVING and RECEIVING what God has REVEALED – and hence, may be defined as absolute trust in the God of the Scriptures and in Christ Jesus whom He sent, to fulfil the redemption of mankind through loving obedience and good works [Acts 20:20-21; John 1:12; James 2:14-26; Hebrews 5:7-9].
LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace is operational through these four fundamental principles of application in doing life and living godly under God in Christ Jesus’ stead:
- FOR SALVATION: Living by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace ensures that personal faith – personal trust – to obtain Salvation is possible without our meritorious works to prove a point to Father God in Christ Jesus – who is our Deliverer from the clutches of sin to our justification – wherein we have been made and declared the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen. For our merits are filthy rags before God and our wealth cannot save a soul. But our Faith operating under grace gives us SALVATION and access to Father God in Christ Jesus. [Romans 4:5, 23-25; 5:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Isaiah 64:6; Psalms 49:6-9].
- FOR PRAYERS: Living by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace ensures that our PRAYERS [fellowship – communion – to enhance relationship] with Father God in Christ Jesus are offered with assurance and confidence. It helps us to be ensured of our justified state of being and our access to Father God in Christ Jesus when we STAND in the grace of His RIGHTEOUSNESS to offer PRAYERS without an iota of mistrust. [Romans 5:1-2; Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 John 5:14-15; Colossians 1:12-14; Philippians 3:3; 1 Corinthians 1:9; John 4:19-24].
- The UNSEEN: Living by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace ensures that one knows and understands that the UNSEEN world makes and brings about the SEEN world. And this helps to make the act of doing life and living godly possible, as it brings the unknown – the unseen – things into being, into reality, into tangibility. And one can then act on the conviction that God’s word is practicable, reachable and tangible beyond mere sight, even before believing God in Christ Jesus – [Hebrews 11:1-3; Romans 4:17; 2 Corinthians 6:13; 2 Corinthians 5:7].
- DAILY LIVING: Living by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace means living by the principles that ensure a practicable and liveable essence in our day-to-day living, when we understand the working principles in life, and the use and applications of faith – that the WORD OF FAITH is indeed true and real to do life and live godly, irrespective of our daily circumstances. [Habakkuk 2:4 (Galatians 3:11; Romans 1:16-17; Hebrews 10:38); Romans 10:8-10].
Living by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace ensures and assures that the Believers in God in Christ Jesus live beyond borders and walls, by the governing and binding law by which THE [SAVED] JEW (which is of the circumcision) and THE [SAVED] GENTILE (which is of the uncircumcision) can have access to God’s redemption rights and privileges to become and make up – THE CHURCH of Christ Jesus – made up of the born-again of God: Jews and Gentiles [Romans 3:27-29; Romans 2:28-29; 1 Corinthians 10:32].
Living by THE LAW OF FAITH also means that the Believer in Christ Jesus is to operate LAWFULLY within the grace of God. Otherwise, there is disqualification in that particular context and in the subjects of life, plan, purpose and pursuit [2 Timothy 2:5.; Galatians 5:1; Romans 8:2; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27].
It behoves me, therefore, to compel you to press into the realm of LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace, in order that you may be ensured and assured of your blessedness in God in Christ Jesus. Amen…

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:
“Therefore, since we have been JUSTIFIED [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] BY FAITH, [let us grasp the fact that] we have PEACE with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). 2 Through Him we also have ACCESS BY FAITH into this [remarkable state of] GRACE in which we [firmly and safely and securely] STAND. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power]” Romans 5:1-2/AMP.
“No man that WARRETH entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may PLEASE him who hath CHOSEN him to be a soldier. 5 And if a man also STRIVE for MASTERIES, yet is he NOT CROWNED, except he STRIVE LAWFULLY” 2 Timothy 2:4-5.
“And every man that STRIVETH for the MASTERY is TEMPERATE in all things. Now they do it to OBTAIN A CORRUPTIBLE CROWN; BUT WE AN INCORRUPTIBLE. 26 I therefore so RUN, NOT as UNCERTAINLY; so FIGHT I, NOT as one that BEATETH the air: 27 but I KEEP UNDER MY BODY, AND BRING IT INTO SUBJECTION: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” 1 Corinthians 9:25-27.
“Now we know [without any doubt] that THE LAW IS GOOD, if one uses it LAWFULLY and APPROPRIATELY, 9 understanding the fact that law is not enacted for the righteous person [the one in right standing with God], but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinful, for the irreverent and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for sexually immoral persons, for homosexuals, for kidnappers and slave traders, for liars, for perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted” 1 Timothy 1:8-11/AMP.
“Give none offence, neither to THE JEWS, nor to THE GENTILES, nor to THE CHURCH OF GOD: 33 even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved” 1 Corinthians 10:32-33.
“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; 10 making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. 11 For I long to see you, that I may IMPART unto you some SPIRITUAL GIFT, to the end ye may be ESTABLISHED; 12 that is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual FAITH both of you and me” Romans 1:9-12.
“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, 5 hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; 6 that the COMMUNICATION OF THY FAITH may become EFFECTUAL by the ACKNOWLEDGING of every good thing which is in you IN Christ Jesus” Philemon 1:4-6.
SUMMARY:
This message is a prophetic, doctrinal charge for the month of August, calling Believers to live by THE LAW OF FAITH through the grace of God in Christ Jesus.
- CENTRAL THESIS
LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH IN THE GRACE is about synergising and energising our “doing life and living godly” through THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus.
It moves us from mental exertion and works into Spirit-energised faith, so we can experience our God-given BLESSEDNESS.
Core Text: Romans 3:27-30; Romans 8:1-2
Key idea: Justification is BY FAITH, not by works of the law. There is now NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ who walk after the Spirit.
- DEFINITION OF THE LAW OF FAITH
The Law of Faith is the set of PRINCIPLES — the guiding laws upon which faith operates: with, through, in, upon and on.
Purpose:
To ensure the foundational basis of our belief and trust in God in Christ Jesus’ stead.
To help us do life and live godly through persecution, receive God’s promises, and endure/persevere in faith, righteousness, and against satan. Hebrews 11:32-40
To energise us in our spirit-being rather than in mental striving.
It is defined as BELIEVING and RECEIVING what God has REVEALED — absolute trust in God and in Christ Jesus for redemption, expressed through loving obedience and good works. Acts 20:20-21; John 1:12; James 2:14-26; Hebrews 5:7-9
- THE 4 FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF APPLICATION
FOR SALVATION
Personal faith/trust obtains Salvation without meritorious works. Christ is our Deliverer and in Him we are made and declared the righteousness of God. Our merits are filthy rags; wealth cannot save. Faith under grace gives SALVATION and access to the Father. Romans 4:5; 5:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
FOR PRAYERS
Faith ensures our prayers — fellowship and communion — are offered with assurance and confidence. Because we STAND in the grace of His RIGHTEOUSNESS, we have access to the Father without an iota of mistrust. Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 John 5:14-15
THE UNSEEN
Faith understands that the UNSEEN world produces the SEEN world. It brings the unseen into being, reality, and tangibility. This enables us to act on the conviction that God’s Word is practicable and tangible beyond mere sight. Hebrews 11:1-3; Romans 4:17; 2 Corinthians 5:7
DAILY LIVING
Faith provides a practicable and liveable essence for day-to-day life. When we understand the working principles and application of faith, the WORD OF FAITH becomes true and real to live godly irrespective of circumstances. Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:16-17; Hebrews 10:38
The Law of Faith governs both THE [SAVED] JEW and THE [SAVED] GENTILE, giving both access to God’s redemption rights to become ONE — THE CHURCH OF CHRIST JESUS, made of the born-again. Romans 3:27-29; 1 Corinthians 10:32
It also demands we operate LAWFULLY within grace. To strive otherwise leads to disqualification in life, plan, purpose and pursuit. 2 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
- APOSTOLIC CHARGE & SCRIPTURAL ANCHORS
The message ends with a pastoral charge: “It behoves me, therefore, to compel you to press into the realm of LIVING BY THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace, in order that you may be assured of your blessedness in God in Christ Jesus. Amen.”
Scriptural Thoughts for Pondering:
- Peace, Access & Standing in Grace: Justified by faith, we have peace and access into grace to stand firm. Romans 5:1-2 AMP
- No Boasting, No Condemnation: Justified by faith apart from works. The Law of the Spirit of life makes us free. Romans 3:27-30; 8:1-2
- Strive Lawfully: Like a soldier and athlete, we must strive lawfully and keep our body in subjection to obtain an incorruptible crown. 2 Timothy 2:4-5; 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
- Use the Lawfully: The Law is good when used lawfully, for the unrighteous. 1 Timothy 1:8-11 AMP
- Impartation for Establishment: Paul’s longing to impart a spiritual gift for mutual faith and establishment. Romans 1:9-12; Philemon 1:4-6
- One Church: Give no offence to Jews, Gentiles, or the Church of God. 1 Corinthians 10:32-33
- OVERALL SUMMARY
August is positioned as a month to shift from flesh, works, and mental striving into Spirit-led, faith-governed living. When we live by THE LAW OF FAITH in the grace, we live beyond borders, walls, and condemnation — justified, established, empowered for daily life, prayer, victory over the unseen, and unity in the Church.
